Teacher Training Program

Education is the key for real sustainable change to take place.

We have begun a teacher training program and are training 5 teachers from the local community. We will be opening a school in January that will bring education to life. Art, music, nature and African culture will feature strongly in our curriculum and the school will be governed by the teachers. Parental involvement will also be of paramount importance. The school will be based primarily on Steiner Waldorf Educational philosophy but also on other contemporary, alternative philosophies.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You automatically help us by joining our volunteer program as half of what you pay as a volunteer goes directly to support the teacher training program.

Another way to help is by sharing your skills with us as part of the teacher training course. Let us know your ideas and if possible we will incorporate them into our curriculum. If you are wishing to volunteer after January 2008, then we will also be able to utilise your skills in the new primary school.
